About
Brothers Alexis and Teddy grew up in the kitchen of their mom's taco shop located in the local bus terminal in Mexico. In 2011, they continued the family tradition by opening up one of the first food trucks in Chicago, which has since become a brick and mortar restaurant in the heart of Chicago.
Jarabe is an original restaurant concept from the Vejar brothers—a neighborhood restaurant that sits somewhere between a taqueria and an all-day cafe. An aesthetic experience modeled on the cafes at the foot of the public parks in Mexico City. It is inspired by memories of our formative years growing up between cultures, blending together the history of the places we have called home.
Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Ever-changing. Ever-evolving. Jarabe is a place to eat, a place to meet, and a space where EVERYONE is welcome.
